The Schoolhouse
Restoration Project
Eastham History will come alive as we restore our Schoolhouse Museum to its full historical look.
Our Vision
Our vision is to create a place where Eastham History Comes to life for residents and visitors alike – and the Schoolhouse Restoration Project is a major step in working to realize that vision. The restoration will allow us to more fully focus interactive displays and programs on the faces, places, and voices that make Eastham unique.
More specifically, the project focuses on:
-
Construction of the wing, restoring the schoolhouse to its full historical look
-
Creating room for exhibiting donated material that tells the stories which "bring history to life"
-
Providing the means to update the museum's interaction with visitors via hands-on experiences and technology
Ongoing fundraising efforts have begun to help bring the restoration to life. If you'd like to help, please consider making a contribution to our fundraising campaign.
